Chairman: Ken McHattie
Ken is both a Chartered Accountant and Solicitor. His early career included a predecessor of Big Four accountants KPMG, oil service sector company Oilfield Hydrographic, and commercial legal firm Ledingham Chalmers. He left the firm in 1998 to take up a position as Group Company Secretary of Atlantic Power Group, which was shortly afterwards acquired by US-listed Petroleum Geo-Services. Ken and two colleagues left PGS in 2000 to establish Tuscan Energy, which brought the UKCS Ardmore Field back into production in 2003. He joined Energy Development Partners Limited, the manager of a significant oil & gas investment fund, as Finance Director in 2005 and worked there until mid-2010. Ken served on the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants for several years and he was the Institute's President in 2016/17.
